Because of Ipad 2... ???

I will never understand why this kind of incident happened all because of gadget. Although I am not a big fans of gadget stuff, but I do keep myself updated with the news of latest stuffs. I know when it comes to Apple fans, there are always lots of crazy people showing off what they can do with their devices. Unfortunately, when people go beyond sanity, this could happen as it was in the news. From the love towards the device to crime conviction, is just too much.

As written in the news (which I posted below), culprit splashed paint towards people who queue up to buy Ipad2 in front of a computer store in Hong Kong. For whatever reason the culprit might have, he is already a irrational person. Is it really just a revenge attack against the victim as stated in the news, or it is something else. I guess commercialism is evil.... hahaha~

iPad 2 buyers in HK hit with white paint

THE couple had been queueing for the much-coveted iPad 2 at Kowloon Bay in Hong Kong for almost a full day.

Just as they reached the front of the line, the unexpected happened.

Mr Bai and his wife, along with several other people in the queue, became victims of a paint-splashing attack, reported the Oriental Daily.

The 70-year-old and his wife joined the queue at 7pm on Wednesday at an overhead bridge near the Kowloon Bay subway station and got to the front of the line at4pmthe next day.

They were among five people waiting for their turn to enter the computer shop when a man in his 20s suddenly hurled white paint at Mr Bai.

The culprit fled immediately.

Eight other people near Mr Bai weren't spared. The police confirmed that two men and seven women, including Mr Bai's wife, were splashed with white paint.

Mr Bai and his wife, Madam Mo, 72, Madam Xiao, 66and a 25-year-old Indonesian woman were later sent to hospital for a check-up.

Mr Bai suspected it might be a revenge attack. He said he had quarrelled with two people from mainland China while in the queue on Wednesday night.

He said he and his wife are Hong Kong residents.

They were hoping to buy the iPad 2 devices and sell them to Hong Kong computer resellers. They estimated they could earn HK$200 (S$32) to HK$400 from each unit they sold.

Mr Bai said they had done the same when the iPhone was launched.

Police are investigating the attack.

This is not the first paint attack involving queues for the iPad 2 since its launch in Hong Kong on April 29.

On May 9, a mainland Chinese man was splashed with red paint outside a shopping mall in Sheung Shui.

On May 16, two fights erupted outside a shopping mall in Tuen Mun. Two men and two women were injured.

And customs officers in Huanggang, Hubei province, found 240 iPad 2 devices smuggled in from Hong Kong.

Kuala Lumpur Bird Park : World Largest Free-Flight Walk-in Aviary

My first visit to the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park since I was born in Kuala Lumpur. It was really a fun experience by having the chance to get close to all kinds of birds. I never know that my country have all these birds until my visit to the park. Here some introduction about the place and hope you all pay a visit to the park one day.

Located in the serene and scenic Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, it is only 10 minutes drive away from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. It is the home to more than 3,000 birds of approximately 200 species of local and foreign birds.

Sprawling approxi
mately 20.9 acres of verdant valley terrain, the park is divided into 4 zones; Zone 1 and 2 make up the free-flight zone; Zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and Zone 4 is where the birds are placed in separate cages and mini aviaries.

One of KL Bird Park's most extraordinary feature is that in Zone 1, 2 and 3, birds are let fr
ee in the aviary which closely resembles their natural habitat. With this free-flight concept, birds are able to breed naturally in this unique environment.

Visitors will have an exciting expe
rience of watching colourful and melodic birds perching and winging about freely while relaxing in a natural and beautifully landscaped surrounding. KL Bird Park is also reputed to be the largest walk-in free-flight aviary in the world.

Heartless Tainted Food and Daily Products in Malaysia!!

Tainted food in China have been an issue for sometimes and as we all know the seriousness of the damage been done. From the most "famous" poison baby milk to sewage cooking oil, rotten meat, hair made soy sauce and many others unimaginable food and products. Just because of maximizing the profit, people can be so heartless to make tainted poison foods and products. Some of the photos taken from China about the factory or place that produce those things really make me sick. I feel lucky because Malaysia do not have that kind of bad stuff besides bed and pillow cases which happened before. Unfortunately that is over, and now tainted food and other products were found! Few days ago the headlines from newspapers about "bungalow" situated in Gombak was producing those tainted products have been discover. Selangor Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Department enforcement officers took action based on report from synonymous about people collecting large amount of expired food and products. According from the officer, more than 4000 tainted items have been found in the bungalow. The syndicate actually wash and repack the expired products and foods, then sell it out again to the public. Two of the workers from the scene, a 50-year-old Malaysian women and a 34-year-old Indonesian had been caught.

Now we really need to double and triple check on the goods in the market to ensure it is save to consume. Lets us all hope we will not be one of the victim... Here the quoted news from The Star Online and China Press.

> China Press reported of a syndicate operating from a bungalow in Gombak that repacked expired products, including milk powder, juice, canned food and toothpaste, to be sold to restaurants and food outlet operators.

Selangor Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Department enforcement officers tracked down the syndicate on Tuesday night.

The syndicate collected the expired products from dustbins, dumpsites, grocery shops or factories to be repacked.

An officer said the syndicate would sell the expired products, some of which had expired three years ago, to restaurants and mamak stall operators.

Two women a 50-year-old Malaysian and a 34-year-old Indonesian had been detained for investigation, it reported.

Addiction to Mini Games - Angry Birds, FarmVille, Plants vs. Zombies

I believed most of the people at least played one of these 3 games before. Frankly I am not a big fans of the mini games in the market, but can't deny that the addiction towards these 3 mini games is a "threat" to our "daily life". I am not here to discuss about the "threat", but I am more interested in what make the games so attractive and what is the reason behind which people willing to hold the device in their hands for hours. I am no expert in the field who qualified to analyst the "phenomenon", just pure curiosity in me... Before I start with my bullshitting, let us have a little understanding on these 3 games. (*information from wikipedia)

ANGRY BIRDS
(Puzzle Video Game)
In Angry Birds, players take control of a flock of multi-colored birds that are attempting to retrieve eggs that have been stolen by a group of evil green pigs. On each level, the pigs are sheltered by structures made of various materials such as wood, ice and stone, and the object of the game is to eliminate all the pigs in the level. Using a slingshot, players launch the birds with the intent of either hitting the pigs directly or damaging the structures, which would cause them to collapse and kill the pigs. In various stages of the game, additional birds type and objects such as explosive crates and rocks are found in the levels, and may be used in conjunction with the birds to destroy hard-to-reach pigs.

FARMVILLE (Social Network Game)
The player begins with an empty farm and a fixed starting amount of "farm coins", the primary currency in the game. Players also earn experience points for performing certain actions in the game such as plowing land or buying items. At certain experience benchmarks, the player's level rises. As the player obtains more items and progresses through levels, crops and animals become available to them via the "market" where items can be purchased using either farm coins or "farm cash". Farm cash is earned by leveling up or completing offers, or purchased for real money.

PLANTS VS ZOMBIES ( Tower Defense Action Video Game)
In Plants vs. Zombies, players place different types of plants and fungi, each with their own unique offensive or defensive capabilities, around a house in order to stop a horde of zombies from devouring the brains of the residents. The playing field is divided into a number of horizontal tracks, and with some exceptions, a zombie will only move towards the player's house along one track. Most plants can only attack or defend against zombies in the track they are planted in. In the game's initial levels, if the zombie reaches the player's house, a one-shot tool (a lawn mower or pool cleaner) can be used to completely wipe out zombies in that track, but the tool will not be restored until the next level. In later levels, players have to purchase upgrades so as to adapt their lawn-mower to new environments like pools or rooftops. Except in special cases, Zombies attempt to devour any plants in their way while heading towards the house.

As you all already know, the 3 games can be easily access from mobile devices, which means it reach to the mass anytime and any place, as long as there is network if needed. From the basic understanding on the gameplay, it is simple, straight forward and most of all is CUTE!! Since the games come in "handy", people tend to play it just to kill time. In the subway, in the bus, in boring class...etc or play it just because it is fun. The X-factor of the success besides addictive gameplay, in my opinion, would be CUTE. The "CUTE" factor can almost "conquer" all the minds of the population in the world. For example, kids like cute stuff and parents can easily "control" their kids by giving them a device and let them sit aside and play with it. Guys can take these games as a reason or chat topics to go after girls because girls always like cute stuff! Of course girls are attracted to cute things, but what's help is playing these games, they can ignore the guys they don't like or a mind escape from the surrounding. Everyone have their own reasons for liking these games, and therefore it succeeded. When the "brand" stay inside your mind, the merchandise products will be the next wave to suck your money into their pockets...

Anyway, thanks to the games developers, now everyone can have their fingers exercise regularly... :D

Crazy Serial Acid Splasher in Kuala Lumpur !!!

What is wrong with the people nowadays? Is it because of stress or something bad happened which drive people to the level of madness and start hurting someone else for pleasure? Due to high crime rate in the city, especially snatch thieves who drove motorcycle around the city and looking for target, and now we have a new threat which is the ACID SPLASHER !!!

I remembered last year, there was news about acid splasher in Hong Kong as well and their police actually caught one of the suspect. Unfortunately there were few incidents which police believed were done by different people. Hong Kong police actually put up HK$1,700,000 of prize money for the wanted suspect.

According from The Star Online news, the victims were all women and lately added a baby in the victim list. From my point of view, this crazy bastard is mentally ill and hatred on women. His past might have something which made him a serial acid splasher today and I believe he actually enjoy the scream of pain from the women. I hope this crazy criminal can be caught as soon as possible and lock him in the jail forever...

Here the news from StarOnline:-

Acid splasher now a stalker

By STEVEN DANIEL
stevend@thestar.com.my

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are concerned as a serial acid splasher who is believed to be responsible for more than 20 attacks on women and children in the city has begun to strike at night.

All of the earlier attacks which started early this year had occurred in the day.

However, on Friday, three women were attacked 30 minutes apart at around 9pm in the city area.

In the first case, two women who were walking along Jalan Pudu Lama were splashed with acid by a man on a motorcycle leaving one of them with severe burns that almost blinded her left eye.

Half an hour later, another woman had acid splashed on her at a parking lot, believed to be by the same man.

On Saturday, a woman and her year-old baby were attacked at their home in Persiaran Titiwangsa.

City police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah said a task force, formed since the beginning of the initial attacks, was examining the facts of the latest attacks to determine if they were the work of the same man.

Meanwhile, the father of the woman who was severely burned in the eye, Mohammad Salleh, said his daughter was responding well to treatment when met at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital intensive care unit yesterday.

“Doctors believe they may be able to save her left eye. But she also suffered 5% burns on her face and chest,” he said.

The other victims had reacted quickly by washing their faces with water, resulting in little or no lasting injuries.

Sources, however, pointed out that despite the sudden change in the time of the suspect’s attacks, he still primarily targeted women and children.

DCP Zulkifli was reported earlier as saying the police were taking the matter very seriously as the attacks were beginning to cause panic among city folks.

The only lead police have on the identity of the suspect is that he is of dark complexion and rides either a Honda EX5 or Yamaha motorcycle.

A Late Night Song

Lately I am addicted into a song every time before I sleep. It sound like a sad song and the singer is a famous Korean female vocal named "Jung In". I am really into Kpop since like 9 months ago and my favorite song would be something which can make me feel relax at night. Although I did not understand what the song means besides the translated song name, but i truly believe a good song can touch someone emotion even if it is in different languages. Korean entertainment industry really did a good job and advance pretty well by bringing the best of Hallyu wave to the world. The quality speaks the truth and only with quality, it will stay and not be forgotten.

Ok enough with all these words, let's enjoy the nice song with music video.
